Adrianne is the founder and owner of Southern Ohio Gymnastics Academy which opened in 2008. She has coached gymnastics since 2004 and was a high school gymnast herself, as well as, competing in tennis, softball, dance, and swimming. Adrianne is the mother of three children, Dilynn, Dory, and Dexter. She has a Bachelors of Science degree in Food Science. She has coached all levels of gymnastics and has been a women's gymnastics judge since 2004. She also currently serves on the Ohio Gymnastics State Committee as State Competition Chair. Adrianne is a USA Gymnastics Professional member, background checked, Safesport and safety certified and trained through USA Gymnastics as a Jr. Olympic Team coach.
Kim Runyon is a former gymnast and tumbler for many years and has coached gymnastics since 2005. She is the head coach of the girls' gymnastics team here at SOGA and is the floor manager. She has two daughters who were both competitive gymnasts for SOGA. When she is not at the gym, she enjoys spending time with her children and family. Kim is aUSA Gymnastics Professional member, background checked, Safesport and safety certified and trained by USA Gymnastics University. Kim is certified as a Jr. Olympic Team Coach.
Alli was a gymnast for 15 years and part of the competitive team at SOGA for many years. She finished her career working to be a level 9 gymnast. Since her retirement from gymnastics she was involved with the varsity cheer team at River Valley High School were she was picked as an NCAA American Cheerleader. Alli graduated from Rio Grande University with a degree in Primary Education K-5. While at Rio she was on the cheer squad. She loves children of all ages and is excited to share her passion for the sport of gymnastics. Alli works with our Bronze Team, Intermediate and Advanced Gymnastics, and is a choreographer for the girls team floor routines. She is a USA Gymnastics Professional Member, background checked, Safesport and Safety certified and trained through USA Gymnastics University.
Paxton was a gymnastic with SOGA up to Level 10. She started gymnastics at 3 years old. She also played softball for Gallia Academy. Paxton graduated from Miami University with a Bachelors degree in Biology and the University of Rio Grande Registered Nursing Program. She is currently employed at Holzer Hospital as a circulating nurse. Paxton primarily coaches the competitive team and helps with recreational classes. She is a USA Gymnastics Professional Member, background checked, Safesport and Safety certified and trained through the USA Gymnastics University.
Jamie was a cheerleader for 13 years and a power tumbler for 7 years. She has coached tumbling for nine years here at SOGA and is now our Preschool Director. She coaches preschool classes of all levels. Jamie is a 2013 graduate of South Gallia High School where she participated in varsity track for four years. Jamie is the mom to two boys. She is a USA Gymnastics Instructor Member, background checked, Safesport and safety certified.
Sarah is our Hot Shots gymnastics coach here at SOGA, as well as, managing our office and birthday party schedule. She is the mother of five children, some who are on team and in recreational classes here at the gym. Sarah is a USA Gymnastics Instructor Member, background checked, Safesport and Safety certified and trained by USA Gymnastics University.
Sydnee started gymnastics at 18 months and finished as a Level 8 gymnast on the SOGA girl's team. She is a graduate of River Valley High School where she was active in cheerleading, volleyball, and track and field. She is a graduate of the University of Rio Grande where she was on the cheer squad and volleyball team. She has an Associates Degree in Business with a minor in Banking and Accounting. She received UCA American and NCA All American Cheer Awards. Sydnee is a coach for tumbling and recreational gymnastics. She is a USA Gymnastics Professional Member, background checked, Safesport and Safety certified.
Chris was a 2016 graduate of Point Pleasant High School where he wrestled and played baseball all four years. Chris is one of our Ninja boy's class coaches and is a USA Gymnastics Instructor Member. He is background checked, Safesport and Safety certified, and trained through USA Gymnastics University.
Jessica coaches homeschool for SOGA. She was a cheerleader for Point Pleasant High School and Shawnee State University. Jessica is a youth leader at Jackson Avenue Baptist Church. She and her husband, Jesse, have four daughters. Jessica is a USA Gymnastics Professional Member, background checked, Safesport and Safety certified, and trained through USA Gymnastics University.
Gretchen helps in the office and also works birthday parties. She has worked 25 years at McDonalds, 18 of which she has been assistant general manager. She is the mother of two girls, one of which is on the competitive gymnastics team at SOGA. In her spare time, she enjoys camping with her family.
Tenley has been a competitive gymnastic for 10 years and has coached for 6 years. She came from Texas to pursue a degree in Child and Family Studies at Ohio University. When she isn't in the gym, she enjoys the outdoors and beauty of nature. Tenley coaches Hot Shots and Recreational Gymnastics at SOGA.
Brooke is a teacher at Gallia Academy Middle School and a mother of two. She is a lover of marching band and gymnastics. She has a Bachelors of Education from Marshall University and a Masters of Education from Xavier University. Brooke coaches preschool gymnastics at SOGA.
